„Na Ukrajině se Vánoce slaví v poslední den v roce. Jenže letos 31. prosince vystřelilo Rusko na ukrajinská města okolo 30 raket a vypustilo desítky sebevražedných dronů.“
Nemířily na ukrajinské vojáky, ale na zařízení, která obyvatelům Ukrajiny zajišťují světlo, teplo a vodu. Podobných útoků, často navíc mnohem rozsáhlejších, podniká Rusko proti Ukrajině pravidelně několik do měsíce.
Celkem už na ukrajinskou energetickou infrastrukturu zaútočilo více než tisícovkou raket a dronů. Jejich cílem je co nejvíce uškodit ukrajinským obyvatelům. Těm se ruský diktátor Vladimir Putin mstí za své válečné selhání, chce jim co nejvíce znepříjemnit životy a vyhnat je z jejich domovů a nejlépe i z jejich země.
V této situaci je naší morální i strategickou povinností poskytnout obyvatelům Ukrajiny pomoc a navázat tak na obdivuhodnou štědrost, kterou již Češi vůči nim prokázali. A právě to je cílem tohoto projektu. Chceme přispět k náhradě nebo opravě ukrajinské energetické infrastruktury.
Rádi bychom za tímto účelem této pomoci využít zájmu, který nejen u nás, ale i v zahraničí vzbudily naše předsednické mikiny a využít je k výběru finančních prostředků určených na podporu organizací, které Ukrajincům pomohou škody napáchané Putinovou armádou napravit.
Jde o stejnou mikinu, kterou si na sebe oblékl ministr průmyslu a obchodu Jozef Síkela po skončení poslední Rady ministrů pro energetiku v Bruselu. Ty samé mikiny dostali ministři zodpovědní za energetiku také z dalších zemí, referovali o nich česká i zahraniční média. Nabízené mikiny jsou pouze doplněny ukrajinským prvkem.
Část mikin pro nás podepsali významné osobnosti, kterým za jejich ochotu děkujeme. Jde například o premiéra Petra Fialu, ministra vnitra Víta Rakušana, předsedkyni Státního úřadu pro jadernou bezpečnost Dan Drábovou nebo jednoho z nejlepších hokejistů historie Dominika Haška a další. Vedle toho se snažíme zajistit podpisy také od osobností přímo na Ukrajině.
Ruskému zneužívání energetiky jako zbraně čelí celá Evropská unie a my s ní již řadu měsíců. Projevuje se hrozbou nedostatku plynu a s ní i vysokými cenami energií. Uvědomujeme si vážnost situace a děláme maximum pro to, abychom dopady Putinovy taktiky co nejvíc zmírnili.
Dokázali jsme si proti ní vybudovat účinnou obranu a výrazný podíl na tom máme my a naše předsednictví, na které nabízené mikiny odkazují. Sjednotili jsme se proti Putinově energetické válce a nyní je čas, abychom pomohli zajistit energii také těm, kteří ji v této válce potřebují ze všech nejvíce – Ukrajincům, kteří čelí systematické ruskému útoku proti své energetice. Pojďme jim proto pomoci znovu rozsvítit Ukrajinu.
In Ukraine, Christmas is celebrated on the last day of the year. But this year, on the 31st of December, Russia fired around 30 missiles at Ukrainian cities and launched dozens of suicide drones.
They were not aimed at Ukrainian soldiers, but at the facilities that provide light, heat and water to the people of Ukraine. Russia regularly carries out similar attacks, often on a much larger scale.
In total, it has already attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure with more than a thousand missiles and drones. Their aim is to cause as much harm as possible to the Ukrainian population. Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is taking revenge on them for his failures, wanting to make their lives as unpleasant as possible and to drive them out of their homes and, preferably, out of their country.
In this situation, it is our moral and strategic duty to provide assistance to the people of Ukraine and to build on the admirable generosity that the Czechs have already shown towards them. And that is precisely the aim of this project. We want to help to repair the damages done to Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
To motivate those interested in helping Ukraine, we would like to offer them as a reward our Energy Sweatshirts. We would like to use them to raise funds to purchase electric generators, heat generators, water filtration systems and other equipment that will help the Ukrainians repair the damage done by Putin's army.
This is the same sweatshirt that Czech Minister of Industry and Trade Jozef Sikela wore after the last Energy Council in Brussels. The same sweatshirts were also given to ministers responsible for energy from other countries and were reported in the Czech and European media. These sweatshirts are only complemented by a Ukrainian element.
Some of the sweatshirts were signed for us by prominent personalities, whom we thank for their willingness. These include, for example, Prime Minister Petr Fiala, Minister of the Interior Vít Rakušan, Chairman of the State Office for Nuclear Safety Dan Drábová or one of the best hockey players in history Dominik Hašek and others.
Russia's use of energy as a weapon is something that the whole of the European Union is facing, and we have been facing it for many months. It is manifested by the threat of gas shortages and, with it, high energy prices. We are aware of the seriousness of the situation and are doing our utmost to mitigate the effects of Putin's tactics as much as possible.
We have managed to build an effective defence against it, and we and the Czech Presidency, to which these sweatshirts refer, have a significant part to play in this. Now it is time to help provide energy to those who need it most in this war – the Ukrainians, who are facing a systematic Russian attack on their energy sector.
So let's help them light up Ukraine again.
